Valentine’s Day Foodie Date Ideas- SOBO
SOBO, short form for South Bombay. Everything starting from Lower Parel to Cuffe Parade, is what SOBO is all about. An area where a restaurant pops up every week. Valentine’s Day for people living or planning to go here should be a treat! (and a fancy one at that)
Breakfast: The classic, Mondegar Cafe which is one of the two iconic restaurants on the Colaba causeway street, is a must for breakfast. Their painted walls, junkie juke box and akuri (egg preparation) is worth a visit. And the good part, they serve beer all day!!!

Lunch: For the Parsi food lovers, we think a visit to Brittania and Co. should be perfect! Parsi meal of Berry pulao and Patra ni Macchi is beautiful! Also,their in house sodas are to die for.
You can also head over to The Pantry, with its beautiful setting and a crazy menu for breakfast, lunch or dinner, The Pantry is a place that is a must visit especially on Vday!
Another Classic place to visit is our one and only, Cafe Churchill, on causeway. This eatery has been here for decades and it dishes out some of the best old school continental dishes and has great cheesecake and desserts.

Dinner: Has to be Ellipsis, they have a set menu of three courses which is priced at only 2500 per person (ex taxes). With a menu that revolves around a theme of love and fancy food. They also have a great desserts, made with candies nuts, oreo cookies and marshmallows, truffles and and special Valentine’s day cupcakes and cookies
For a more intimate setting, head to The Tasting Room, where they have a bottle of Brut Chandon, and a 4 course menu which is priced at 5,000 (ex taxes).
You can also try Cheval in Fort. Smoked Salmon Blinis with Mandarin Crème Fraiche; Crab and Avocado salad; Braised Lamb with Artichoke Puree; Black Truffle Gnocchi with Gorgonzola cream; Salted Caramel Mousse; and Raspberry Soufflé with Berry Sorbet. This meal is priced at 1,350 per person.
