On Sunday 17th May, Trekurious is getting six exceptional home chefs to create menus and dishes not usually found on any restaurant menu in the city. This gastro-experience brand proposes to have one such #OFFMENU day every quarter, bringing together all their home chef partners to create a foodie’s dream!
Gitika of PakGhor will introduce you to Assamese tribal food while The Bawi Bride is doing grand wedding feast themed lunch – The Lagan Nu Bhono in a beautiful old Parsi house in Jogeshwari. Poppadum is going on an decadent Arabic adventure with the Malabari Muslim Meal in Bandra East and Roger debuting the memories of his Goan childhood with Susegad Sunday in Vikhroli. Lastly theThe Mighty Maharaj is experimenting with a Mango Thali in south Bombay while Ben the Ramen Ninja of Bandra is going all out to make the perfect pork broth for his Ramen Reverie
Seemandhra Food festival at JW Marriott (Juhu) From 8th to 18th May, 2015: Saffron, the signature Indian restaurant at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu brings to you ‘flavors from the coast’ with the Andhra Food Festival from 8th May 2015. Chef Naidu, the Executive Sous Chef at Hyderabad Marriott Hotel & Convention Centre will be visiting the hotel to showcase his expertise by preparing an authentic Andhra menu comprising of the best vegetarian, non vegetarian and sea food delicacies from the coastal state. Aratipandu uttappam, Andhra lamb chops, Nellore Chepala Pulusu and Double ka Meetha are a few of his signature dishes which will be served at the food festival for guests to relish.
The specially curated menu has an extensive variety of preparations for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians to choose from. Traditional Andhra specialties like Palak Mokka-Jonna masala (tempered spinach and corn), Dabbalam (traditional red pumpkin stew), Mamsam Pulusu (lamb cooked in broth), Muvva Vankaya (stuffed brinjal with tangy spices) and Andhra Vegetable Kurma will be served. Seafood lovers can feast on Royyala Iguru (roasted andra prawns “coastal style”), Neerulli Lobster (simmered in tangy masala) and Nepore Chapala Pulusu (authentic Nellore style fish curry) to name a few. The menu also comprises of a vast selection of breads and rice preparations and famous sweet preparations from the state.
